Generation after generation, children have been fortunate to read an assortment of Enid Blyton books and stories. Right from “The Noddy Series” to “The Famous Five,” “Secret Seven”, “St. Claire’s” etc. her work has touched the hearts of children of all age groups with her exciting mixture of mystery and fun in her fictional fantasies. There is hardly any reader who has not read an Enid Blyton creation during childhood. She had over 600 titles to her credit. A writer of Enid Blyton’s stature is irreplaceable. Unfortunately, Enid Blyton is no more with us having succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease on November 28, 1968.

Erma Bombeck
“If Life Is A Bowl Of Cherries - What Am I Doing In The Pits “written by Erma Bombeck is a wonderful humorous and witty book which talks about life after marriage and how kids make parenthood a Heaven-hell(50-50) situation. The author sounds cynical at times, but funny humorous and witty most other times and makes the book a one hell of a good read. She relates herself to the kind of vagaries of life brought into the book with great humour sense which none other than her can portray so brilliantly. Her author books such as “At wit’s end”, “Just Wait Till You Have Children of Your Own!”, speak for themselves.
