Magenn, a Canadian research company, brings forth a long-term ground-breaking energy generation system, which is completely eco-friendly, called the Magenn Air Rotor System (M.A.R.S). The MARS is a lighter-than-air wind turbine which floats like a balloon at 600-1000 feet, which is tethered to the ground. As it rotates by the action of high-altitude winds, electricity is generated and transmitted through the tethers to the ground for immediate use. MARS is highly mobile, and can be deployed anywhere. It can operate at wind speeds ranging from four to sixty miles per hour. The wind turbine makes virtually no noise, and does not affect the flight patterns of birds.
